![]() | Hi, I'm Connie the Executive Director of TGN. As the Executive Director, I run the day to day business of TGN. Currently, my first priority is working towards public awareness and program development. Getting the word out to professionals in the medical fields who can provide service is an area of focus. As the neighborhood grows and develops the website will be updated to elaborate on programs as they become available. If you have any specific questions you can email me at:cgibson@thegivingneighbors.org You can see personal notes from me at the bottom of this page.
![]() | Hi, I'm Tara. In my role as President my main focus is public awareness. I work to meet with professionals in every aspect of business to get input, creative ideas and to make all aware of this new organization. We are establishing a formal introduction of TGN and our core programs. Program creation, planning and development is our focus to ensure funding will be available and fluid as the organization begins to be known. When I first heard the concept of TGN I thought it was a fantastic and exciting idea and I immediately wanted to be part of the Neighborhood! Most of my adult life I have been a type 1 diabetic and a waitress, so I know first hand what it’s like to be a member of the working uninsured in America. My prayer is that through TGN God will touch and change lives. I look forward to watching our neighborhood grow and hope to see you there soon! If you want to contact me with ideas or comments email me at: ttyler@thegivingneighbors.org.

A note from Connie:
Over the past few years I've come to realize that my life is a journey and on this journey everyday is a gift. Each of us has our own journey to walk, as our lives touch, we should come together so we can reach out to others with Christ's love. There is so much we can do if we just join hands together.
I've spent hours thinking of the tragedy of the uninsured in this rich country of America; finding the problem so overwhelming I would shrug my shoulders, pray and hope it would never happen to me.
So, I'm reaching out prayerfully and passionately that you will join hands with us. To help someone that needs it right now.
One day in church I believe the Lord touched my heart when I heard His word that says, "But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves." Proverbs 21:13(NAS) With much prayer and consideration I understood that where God leads, God provides so here is the tool to bring us all together to be a Giving Neighbor.
Truly I am trusting in our mighty God to touch hearts, minds and lives to bring this into fruition. To truly show the world that Christians living for Jesus Christ bear the good fruits of the Holy Spirit and walk in love.
The answer to the question "And who is my neighbor?" Jesus replied and said, "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, and they stripped him and beat him, and went away leaving him half dead. And by chance a priest was going down on that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite also, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
But a Samaritan, who was on a journey, came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion, and brought him to an inn and took care of him. On the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said,'Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I return I will repay you.'
Which of these do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the robber's hands?"
And he said, "The one who showed mercy toward him." Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do the same." Luke 26-37
